One member, one vote: Every Ontario Liberal Party member will have a direct vote in choosing the next Leader, ensuring the outcome reflects the voices of members across the province.

How voting works: Voting will be conducted by ranked ballot, allowing members to rank candidates in order of preference.

Online voting: All voting will take place online, making it accessible to members wherever they live. Voting details will be shared closer to the date.

Voting period: Online voting will be open from Monday, November 9th to Friday, November 20th.

Results announcement: Election results will be announced at an in-person event on Saturday, November 21st. Event details will be shared closer to the date.

Membership eligibility: The final date to join the Ontario Liberal Party, as a member of a constituency association or women’s club, and be eligible to vote in the leadership election, is 6:00pm Monday, September 7th.

Student club membership eligibility: The final date to join the Ontario Liberal Party as a member of a student club, and be eligible to vote in the leadership election, is 5:00pm Friday, September 25th.

Leadership Point Allotment: Points are allotted for each voting association, and awarded to leadership candidates based on the proportion of votes they receive in each association. Each constituency association will be allotted 100 points, student clubs will be allotted 50 points, and women’s clubs will be allotted 5 points.

Debates and all-candidates events: The Party will organize leadership debates and all-candidates events in communities across Ontario starting this spring. Dates and locations will be announced.
